"Is this a sin?" We get asked this question a lot. In order to answer this question we have to understand what Sin is. The Greek word for Sin is "Hamartia" which means - To miss the mark.
The modern world is talking a lot about the subject of homosexuality and same sex marriage. It is also the subject most connected to the "Is this a sin" question. So we feel like we need to talk about this subject and know that Jesus would have us do so with Love, Patience & Wisdom. We hope this doesn't "miss the mark."
While we discuss 1 sin that seems to be a lightning rod of charged feelings and attention, we also thought it would be good to talk about the Hamartia in all our lives. We also want to confront ourselves with the Pharisaical condition that causes us to be loudest when it is someone else's sin.
