A fatal train crash shocks Argentina.
At least three passengers were killed and more than 200 injured when two trains collided near the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires on Thursday.
In an emotional speech, Argentine President Cristina Fernandez expressed her sympathy and pledged her support for victims of the tragedy.
(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) ARGENTINE PRESIDENT, CRISTINA FERNANDEZ, SAYING:
"Besides the solidarity and the pain that I have, I want to tell you I feel a bit of anger and powerlessness. The truth is we're putting in everything, not just economic resources, investment, but also human resources. For something like this to happen hurts us all."
Eye witnesses said the collision occurred when a busy passenger train hit a stationary train.
The private company operating the railway said in a news release the train driver did not respect the "danger" signs.
