I am the chewing gum on your wheel.
I am the blakey on your heel.
I am the cellophane to your sandwich.
The needle to your stitch.
I yelp where you yearn
I creak when you turn
I suckle while you grow
Filling as you flow
I worship due west of you.
The bed is a nest of you.
Your creases still enfold me.
But your nightdress is now cold to me.
What you leave me is real.
What you think, my love, I feel.
