She stood alone
isolated
in jaw-set
non-compliance
cornered
in her own
righteous angle of perception
lawmaker
lawbreaker
unmoved
even by angelic trumpets
excepting her own easy slippage
from which she abdicates
unsuccessfully
all responsibility
holding separate that which she said
she could not control
excepting her own easy slippage
while remonstrating
the easy slippage of others
unashamed
rigorously righteously remorseless
but that was all before
the inglorious onset of critical thinking
