He went out one night
For a long, late walk
Alone with his thoughts
Desiring no other company
Along the old mountain paths
Under a sky of midnight velvet
Studded with diamond stars
Depression ha dhit him
Like a hammer or a brick
He knew not which way to turn
Nor to whom, for there was no-one
Looking up as the moon arose
Blotting out some of the stars, with its' glow
He suddenly sat down, lifting his head high
And howled, like a wolf
To that full gorged orb.
