Cutting roses
Lifting the thorns
Off of beauty
The flower of life
Secrets untold
Silent butterfly
Showing off
Its eloquent flight
Open, the shells
Crushed by a shoe
Tasty is the inside
Annoying, the outer shell
Listening to the breeze
Hoping for a lullaby
Sweetness of sound
Pleasant to hear
Maybe the world
Could press on by
With harmony and peace
And never to bring pain
Closing down love
And shutting doors on life
Hope will blossom
From streams and rivers
Leaving eyes wide open
Crafting honor
Out of dust
And windmill's burden
Being old and decayed
May they be timeless
As valued love
Brings happiness
May the morning rose
Catch the dew
Of perfect life
And carry us onward
Smiling with every beat
Of a sojourn heart
