There's a voice inside my head
You know I can not lie,
It's saying that you need my help
So I'll do my best to try.
At times we may feel distant
That's just how people are,
You may seem really close
When you are actually really far.
And everyday is a winding road
That seems to stretch for miles
Some are never ending
While others turn like dials.
But things happen for a reason
That's one thing I understand,
I was not told to learn it
It was not my demand.
Good things take time
People are an excuse,
We can not pick our families
But our friends are who we choose.
So listen to my words
Because they're never wrong,
Please don't go far away
I promise this won't take long.
Chances of meeting someone like you
Have always been one in a million;
But in the end,
I was the lucky one..
I can only hope
You won't go far away,
Because I know I can't turn my back
Without knowing you'll be okay.
I'll always be waiting on the other side
Where we will again meet each other,
Because we both know that in the long run
We will be Best Friends Forever.
