I walk into a crowded room
and see you sitting there
I catch your eye somehow
you pull up an extra chair
I turn around and leave
without saying a thing
and you complain about
feeling a slight sting
I've liked you for more than 2 years
and first told you this September
and I thought we had something
but I suddenly remember
how hard I have to try
for you to pay attention to
anything I've ever said
no matter what I seem to do
You make me work harder
I keep trying and trying
to get closer and closer
but I can't take this constant prying
I've given up before
but you drag me back in
and I want you more than ever
and I hate you for my sin
I need to have you
I need you to go away
I must forget you
for at least another day
