In Spain they’re planning, banning the siesta;
I wonder will they forfeit the fiesta?
On Shabbos afternoons Jews love to shlof,
the Yiddish word for sleep. Will people scoff
at Shabbos sleepers, keeping them awake
like Spaniards sans siestas, heaven’s sake?
Will some of them, attempting to be hipper,
turn fiestas into fasts, e.g. Yom Kippur?
