There's a place in the whiskey
Where I go when there is no where else to go.
Its not Cheers or in Boston
But no one knows my name
Or even cares.
I never see my friend Jack
But then it's not in Lynchberg either.
And Tennessee is too far to drive,
Not that I could when I'm
At the place in the whiskey.
I keep drinking until I see the sign with it's name
But somehow miss it on my way to
Too Much for Too Long
By that time I don't care.
Maybe in Kentucky but that's my buddy Jim.
He's a little too weak for a friendship this strong.
I'll just keep shooting until I'm too far gone
For the place in the whiskey.
