Love has many faces,
It’s difficult to say,
Which are more important,
When getting through a day.
A mother’s face spells peace,
Light and serenity,
A father’s face spells comfort,
Kindness in abundancy.
A sibling’s face is useful,
When something has gone wrong,
They’re there to pick you up,
And sing a bright new song.
A good friends face is generous,
It gives more than it should,
A good friend’s face is comfort,
When things aren’t all that good.
The face of a stranger,
Can even light your path,
When in a fearful place,
One smile may make you laugh.
The tension is displaced,
With happiness and ease,
You now feel so much braver,
To tackle what you please.
The face of a lover,
Is all of these and more,
It brings such joy and pain,
And tells you what’s in store.
All hopes and dreams lie there,
In your lover’s eyes,
So take a closer look,
Try them out for size.
