I thought about you earlier
Your face, your pleasant smile;
The hint of mischief in your eyes
Your warmth, your wit, your style.
I thought about the day we met
Our walk along the beach;
We talked, we laughed, we had such fun
No awkwardness for each.
I think about our friendship
And if love is meant to be;
I love the laughter in your voice
When you call and sing to me.
These images, so clear to me,
So vivid and so real,
All make me want you here with me
To show you how I feel.
