Sittin’ On The Seat Of My Stalled Car
by Barbara Lynn Terry

Read or sing to the tune of Otis Redding’s Dock Of The Bay.

Sittin’ on the seat of my stalled car,
Watching the birds fly away so far.
Sittin’ on the seat of my stalled car,
Just a wondering what my options are.

I left my home in Milwaukee,
Headed for the Melbourne shore,
I got no way to go,
‘Cause my health is failing so.

So, I’m just a
Sittin’ on the the seat of my stalled car,
Seeing where the people are,
Just a sittin’ on the seat of my stalled car.

I’m so lonely here,
Nothings ever gonna come this way.
I’ve got no money to leave,
Wondering what I should do today.

Clutching my purse to my side,
This nightly cold I can’t abide,
Hoping someone will give me a ride,
Taking me home tonight.

So, I’m just a
Sittin’ on the seat of my stalled car,
Watching the birds fly away so far.
Sittin’ on the seat of my stalled car,
Wondering what my options are.
