I stand at the door
That trundled across
The river that partly designed the destiny
Of a child to fling
A coin into its flow
The coin reversed
The flow of the river
To take me back to
That first tryst with death
That connects me to
My mother's life that I live
Through her anecdotes
From her childhood
Spent on the river-banks
How life flows
Connecting lives
As one single
Mighty river...
