It kills ones heart when she is distant,
Can’t she see I’m longing to be held?
To be in her embrace at gatherings of unfamiliar people is warming to the heart,
A breakwater against a towering sea of shyness.
I can tell she knows what I’m thinking, in that questionable look.
At these times one feels a lost soul in a dark valley of loneliness,
Hug me, hold me, caress me I hear my mind say.
So I will wait and wait, for sunrise of her warmth.
