If I say I love you, then I really mean I do,
And as I look you face to face, you must believe it’s true.
When I try to talk to you, it really is quite funny,
I get the strangest feeling in the bottom of my tummy.
When I see you doing stuff, I just stand back and stare,
But it hurts me every time when I know that you don’t care.
The colours of your eyes are the deepest shade of green,
They truly are the most gorgeous eyes that I have ever seen.
I try my best to show off to you, but you just look away,
As I see your dark tanned neck, I hope this is the day.
You go and talk to other girls; it gets me quite upset,
So I try to make you jealous about the other guys I’ve met.
The brightness of the sun cannot match your beaming face,
The only thing I think of is your soft and warm embrace.
I love the way you spike your hair, and kick that big football,
Staring at the phone all night, hoping you would call.
Your voice is as soft as the sky is blue,
If you said one word to me, I would say ‘thank you’.
I’m not the prettiest girl you know, or will ever see,
But if you got to know me, you may disagree.
As I see you running on that great big running track,
I really know I love you, but you don’t love me back.
