I am filled with disbelief
My baby did not kiss me
I sleep tonight with a sad on my
Face.
It hangs like a neglected painting.
I blame my lips…
They did not pose for a kiss
They just sat there like some statue
Surrounded by some thrilled tourists.
It is amazing that words can destroy
An empire build over the ages
Sometimes words shoot out unedited
And they do harm you cannot revise.
Life is not a book you can do
a revise edition of.
I probably did not deserve that kiss anyway
I go to sleep now
With empty filled in my heart
