When I peer
through the looking glass
I see myself
not as I am
but what I could be.
I walked away
from the drugs
and gangbanging
but in my heart
I'll always be O.G.
I try to do right
but life aint that easy
so many things
are written
that make it seem so.
I've improved
my conscious thought gradually
but still
I miss the herb
and how it made me lean slow.
Money's the root
of evil
but we all gotta survive
and so many died
in search of cheddar.
Tomorrow's
not promised
and today is forever
so for today
I hope to do better.
