I am what I am not,
a step beyond the infinite, which is not owned by any god or counter-image.
No step is owned
or infinite, beyond
a verb made of flesh,
a salad and a sabbath,
a disjunction, a border encircling self
if it is to survive alone in its uniqueness
but microscopic, as rebellious as Satan
or the Last of the Mohicans:
that quantum leap from matter to conscience
step by step, up- and down-, and cross-wards...
