emmanuelle sanders - Unfair, Isn't It?

Sometimes, when you do something
But everyone around declines,
You think, “So what? Are they my folks
Who have the right to control my mind? ”

You continue to tolerate that deed,
Even though you have that guilt.
Guilt that makes you restless,
And sometimes makes you wilt.

They’d tell nonsense ‘bout you,
Even say it in your face.
They’ll do everything they can
To clad your name with disgrace.

You apologize to them,
Though you’re the one lying in mud.
As usual, acceptance is there,
But there’s a twinge in their squad.

Days after, you’d see them
Doing the same old deed.
They laugh in delight, and don’t care;
Your advice they’ll never heed.

The past events come to your mind
As you ponder aloud,
“Why am I only reprimanded,
While they are being allowed? ”

Of course! Who wouldn’t feel the same
When we experience things like that?
It’s unfair for them to have fun
While you just look there and sat.

To tell you frankly, I feel the same.
‘Cause I’ve experienced that just recently.
Unfair, isn’t it, for a twelve-year-old,
To have a loss in terms of equality?
