Song of Silence

Today I felt alone,
With so many friends to sing along.
Like a withered monument centuries old,
Cast upon the hill of song.
Covered in moss I stand tall,
Afraid to cry no more,
For the lord has spoken and freed my soul,
Letting my tears fill the waterfall.
A thunderous rush of memories gone,
Wash the words from the marble stone.
leaving silence on its face,
Myriad smiles in its place.
Forgotton not on heavens door,
The orphan waters carry on,
Turning ashes to white crest,
That leave our hearts to rest.
