Photonic Reverie
Little eyeball, round and white;
how long your reach
to touch these stars on this cloudless night?
What legendary bird
carries you so far,
devouring parsecs on wings of light?
I'd ask a boon; be you kind
to breach the sealed veil,
then steal what there you may find.
And so, with urgency
return thou to me,
to refresh the cistern of my mind.
