Surprise Me!

sam naser - The Ballad of Oslo Booth Carter

2014-06-16 19 Dailymotion

I wait and wait day after day
hoping she loves me back
she walks in with nothing to say;
puts her keys down on the rack

And still I hope and still I dream
and still she walks on by
I stitched my note seam by seam
and gave myself to the sky.

I woke up in a cold white room
within it not even a sound
but lingered still, a feel of doom
and to it I seemed bound

And to the right I swapped my head
and there she was, eyes teared
sitting at the foot of my bed
heart broken, make-up smeared

'I have always loved you, ' she said
'I loved you all along.'
he said 'Well soon I'll be dead;
your timing was wrong.'

And just like that, Oslo lay dying
feeling guilty as sin
and although he knew she was lying
he left her behind a grin.
