you could just reach for the bottle and swollow
a sip of water to follow
or you could:
stand up and fight this battle
like a farmer hearding cattle
you are who you are
who's dream is owning a car.
take day by day, fighting for your life.
instead of reaching for the knife.
to end your life would admitt defaet
