A bright halo and damaged dreams
I prayed for his health to hear his heart
And I've fallen to his love from the start
He was broken before we met
But i still thanked God for the time well spent
We both are still trying to help eachother stand
With your past made of broken glass
In hope that he knows we are always going to last
I told him I'll love him as time will pass
And as time passed he grew a bit stronger
We got closer and the days grew longer
His wing was still wounded, but he started to fly
I've fallen in love with the smile of this broken man
I call him my flashlight, and he is my world
Shining through his darkness, this beautiful man
But sometimes I'm afraid it might not always be his plan
He shows me he loves me a bit more every day
But sometimes trouble stirs up and he pushes away
In isolation, i sometimes fear he won't stay
Sometimes in denial that it's my heart in his hands
But we continue to hang on through the good and bad
With dreams of all the time we will have.
My angel, my heart, you are amazing indeed
Far from perfect, he's perfect for me
Because since day 1 I have seen things in him that he himself does not see
