In the everlasting light cast out by this page
The blindly binding white that never ends
No matter what I write, no matter what age
I find this never ending page nether foe nor friend
The countless possibilities, like magic in my hands
I could write most anything upon this great white page
But my mind belittles me… “no, not that, ” it says
And so I stare at its taunting glare, only to fuel my rage
Ho hum! I sigh, deep in thought, Trying to rack my brain
What could I create, twist and tweak to bring beauty to this page
What about love, and girls with clout? No, no that’s too cliché…
Why oh why, you accursed thing, must you keep me in your cage
Just sit before me, like water to my thirst!
But no matter how much I drink
You wont lift me from this curse
So I bid you farewell you heart breaking thing
Your nothing to me but a white blank page,
Mock me all you want, as the words do not fill you
Because once out of this cage, I will not hear you
