The world's been getting distressing tales of slaughter and destruction from Iraq in recent weeks. This time it is one of the world's oldest Christian communities that's being targeted. Ancient monasteries and churches have been razed to the ground, and tens of thousands of Iraqis have been forced to flee their ancestral homes. France has publicly pledged humanitarian assistance to take in those Christians. But is that an open invitation to settle in the country? And why only Christians?
