STORY: Plunging decollettes, short dresses and bikini tops revealed the women's silhouette at Guy Laroche's Spring/Summer collection presented at Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday (September 24).
In lign with the house's trademark of androgynous style, Marcel Marongiu, the creative director at Guy Laroche, said he wanted to liberate women.
At the head of the French fashion house since 2007, Marongiu said he found inspiration by working on new materials.
Dominated by dark blues and yellows, the very feminine collection featured many dresses and skirts, some embroidered in large luminous plexiglass pieces, others with very low V-cuts. Jackets were matched with high-waist silk shorts for a more modern and sexy look, while silk overalls were worn with bikini tops and the high waists stretched the model's silhouette.
