The Birth of a Hero, the first book in The Amity Blade series, introduces us to the world of Ellezwrainia. The story follows the life of Ian Cosswell as he adjusts to academy life. Ian's overwhelming curiosity not only gets him into a heap of trouble but allows him an oppourtunity to learn about the secrets and history of the lands. Much of such history was meant to be hidden from him as well as his fellow students. As he soon discovers, the deeper into others' business he thrusts his nose, the more he unearths, and each discovery is more terrifying than the last.
