Two lovers pass on a street yet they know not the other's name
One smiles, the other looks at her feet
Both wonder where love has gone
They meet again three days later
He looks at his feet ashamed of the time last
She smiles and goes on her way
Both wonder where love has gone
Time goes by, season change
Love is lost
Love is found
But they wonder at the cost
Years pass like leaves in autumn
A fine day in early May
Sends them walkin' the other's way
She twist her hair in her fingers
He jingles the change in his pocket
In a mere moment they meet
Yet love is found for a lifetime
