His eyes are like eyes of a bird of prey
They look very evil for that I say
I must destroy this man
For I know I surely can
I will sneak into his room
For it is this old man’s last and final doom
I shall kill him once and for all
Hoping I do not fall
I will not make a single peep
For the man is still asleep
Midnight is the hour
For I can certainly feel my power
I walk towards the sleeping man
I leap and scream, as this is part of the plan
I have scared him to his mournful death
Just under one single breath
I then put him under the floorboards
It is the front door I run towards
There are three men standing at the door
I invite them in like never before
I am nervous, I can say no more
The men sit and talk away
Not knowing about the murder, I pray
The thump I hear is just a sound
It is just in my head, it is so profound
I can’t take this anymore
I confess what is under the floor
For the man is like a piece of art
For that staring directly at me was his hideous heart
