IF you can take your children spitting venom in your face,
Then loose them in the justice system, gone without a trace,
Eventually you find them, & your hopes are raised, but wait,
The one you used to love, has got them locked behind a gate,
If you can take the lies they say as truth for lovings sake,
Admit that its all your fault, even though thats not the case,
If you can do all this for years, & knowing all the time,
you will never truly get them back, shes washed away their minds,
She sticks in pins & pulls their stings, control is what she wants,
And your replaced as father, by a greasy little ponce,
If you can hold on to the hope, that one day this might end,
youve lost the role as father, but youl try to be their friend,
If you can just keep getting up, each time your knocked back down,
And keep on smiling loving them & never show a frown,
If you can spend three years in court, & do all that they say,
And then be told, that its all wrong, do it anouther way?
If you can put your life on hold, & keep the doors wide open,
Only to be told theres not much hope, but keep on hoping,
If you can do all this & more besides, all i can say,
Then you might live, to give your kids a kiss on fathers day
