It was sudden, like a bad dream come to life.
She could see him there standing on his morals.
Doing what he thought was right, for himself, his family, his country.
The Gun was staring straight at her.
It was an instance of survival; a timeless game she did not want to play.
The screams of those around her was becoming unbearable.
All the pain and feeling she had was stewing inside of her.
The recurring thought she had felt… was it could be over.
Any second, any minute, her life could end.
The barrel of the gun was a long dark corridor of death she could enter at any time
Helplessness could be seen through the eyes of those around her.
A child of four, a grandmother; it was becoming a nightmare.
Each person was pleading for this madness to end.
Suddenly there was a pop, one after another.
Bodies laid lifeless one by one.
This dance with death was eminent for her.
Closer the pops came as she had to decide; would it be life or death.
As the barrel spun back around to her yet again, she decided.
She swiftly arose and struggled for the gun, back and forth;
they wrestled as she tried to wriggle the gun from his fingers.
Over the counter-top they fell,
as a loud pop was heard throughout the building.
It was sudden, like a bad dream come to life…
as her lifeless body fell to the floor.
Her eyes grew dim as she could see the light no more.
