What if the door closed behind me,
And the skyline is all I see?
Would things change in that split second,
In a loss of gravity?
Would the stress run from your heart?
Board a train and depart?
Would it send a brightened smile?
I've wondered for quite a while.
Would new doors finally become breached?
To eliminate all you have beseeched?
Would colors come to vivid life?
A lighter moon through a darker night,
Would you be free from all the pain?
And live a life in a whole new name?
Can see you a future with no riptides?
No crashing waves to destroy your pride,
Or would it hurt as much as I do?
Can that feeling ever be true?
I need to know, I cannot be wrong,
What it'd be like if I was gone.
