The west of golden glow
hopes and dreams burning
in the sea
all the dreams of long ago
Come flooding back to my
broken soul
The past has writ a story
just like a new summers day
Upon my aching heart
you will find the marks
even lost sunset of regrets
even the stars don't shine
The old velvet moon moaning
to the lost sea why the tide
move along like a sad song
Twilight of an evening bell's
Ring, ring, ring after dark
and the ships are lost
The west has blazed its sad
old song hopes and dreams
are lost in the old dead Sea.
