A new day has dawned in the nation's capital and it's a victorious one for Republicans.
Tuesday's midterm elections gave Republicans control of both houses of Congress for the first time since 2006.

When the new Congress convenes in January, Republicans plan to quickly introduce stand-alone legislation that would approve the Keystone pipeline.
