Clive Sinclair’s C5 was less pointless than this:
A rice-paper mackintosh;
A chocolate fireguard;
A bicycle for fish
A reprieve in that ill-chosen moment immediately after
‘Old Sparky’ had finished it’s white-knuckle ride
To whatever eternity waits in the wings.
Idiocies all less pointless than this.
« Prove it.»
But how and with what, exactly?
Try proving you are who you are some day
To those who would misguidedly seek to ‘protect’
The world
[And his very ex-wife and very current children]
From you.
What would you do?
What will do?
A plastic persona copied for a quid?
Passport?
Birth Certificate anyone could quadruplicate?
Descartes was wrong:
Today thinking and being are as nothing
Before the blinkers and blinds of imperious bureaucracies
Where ten-tenths in paper is everything
And humanity doesn’t count for anything.
