How is it that I can be so blinded
By simple features of infatuation
My head so suddenly close minded
When it comes to these situations
My heart forgetting past hurt
Becoming vulnerable for merely a chance
To no longer remember the grime and dirt
And start another journey toward romance
Somebody new wearing my favorite green sweatshirt
Looking beyond gorgeous as together we dance
Why am I unconcerned for the potential roughness ahead
What makes me trust that you are my only one
I hardly even know you, yet I’m being led
To find out why you seem so fun
Your gentle disposition amazes me still
It makes me smile every time I see you
Your smile so graceful with nothing left to fill
My happiness just keeps growing, I hope yours does too
My trust for you wavers less each day
My comfort telling you anything is just unreal
I hope all of this is here to stay
And my heart you continue to steal
You’re just so damn beautiful, I can’t even explain
Your personality fits everything I look for
Ever faster you race through my brain
I can’t even imagine you making my heart sore
Because I can’t imagine causing you any pain
