My father is gone
Forever and ever
He didn’t live long
But he was smart and clever
He tried so hard
To be the best of them all
But something went wrong
That’s made him stumble and fall
He still kept his head up
He had to be strong
That was his motto
But not for very long
Because then one day
He just passed away
My father is gone
In the ground he now lay
