A baby angel
sits on His lap
As I cry myself to sleep
I wonder what my child
would have been
One daughter six months old
Another child on the way
suddenly gone
What would you have been
I can't help but feel the loss
My daughter always asks
'When will I have a baby
brother or sister'
All I can say is
'I don't know sweetheart'
I can feel you sometimes
especially in my dreams
For instead of being
a baby angel
You turn into a baby in my arms
There are times
when I would say
My baby is watching over me
What would you have been
I know that you
have left for Heaven
So I ask
that you protect us from there
My baby angel
