Maggie was a Hairdresser and a beauty technician
Her husband was a builder and also an electrician
Maggie's job was to make people look pretty so they
looked nice for a date in the city; she would give them
a perm that would last for ages, but the gear she used
made their hair fall out in stages. A cut and blow dry was
not expensive but the heat from the dryer was highly intensive.
Brush, comb and curlers, ten bob for a set; that was really
quite reasonable until the rollers got caught in the net.
One day there was a power cut and poor Maggie was in a
state so she had to undercut the charge of her hairdressers
rate.Maggie then called her husband the so called electriction
to fix dryers and stop all the friction. He tried for hours to find
the fault and customers tempers were getting rather short.
When the fault was found the customers started booing
because it was not the shop, it was the Governments own doing.
