I am too old to play with dolls
Or dress up in mothers' clothes
Too old by far to make mud pies
Or fancy castles made of sand
Far too old for bunny slippers
Or cuddles from teddy bears
And no more bedtime fairy stories
Or loud games with youg friends
Yet there are no regrets
Now childhood is past
As the years have gone rolling by
For when at times, I sit alone
I still play in my imagination
