When did you decide you were better than me?
When did you ever try to understand the real me?
Did you ever really hear what I was saying to you?
What gives you the right to ignore me?
I keep thinkin'..........
Am I crazy for still wanting to be your friend?
Is my self image so distorted that I still need you?
Am I a glutton for punishment to still want you?
Can I walk away and close the door and start over?
I keep thinkin'..........
I'm better than you ever thought I was.....
I am capable of greater love than you will ever know.....
I learned a big lesson in compassion by staying with you.....
I gave you the knowledge to be a better person.....
Will you cherish what I gave you so freely.........
Or will you continue to live shallow and alone?
The choice is yours.
