The sky was a dark orange
the streets a crimsom red
the people a feeling dust covered mass
9/11 not a day that will live in infamy
but a day that will forever be etched in the new worlds sad reality
When the dust cleared and the survivors marched from premature night
I knew that the bastereds who did this had not won
that America the beautiful had survived
Flags were raised
candles lit
and help from all over this great land came to rebuild a nation
9/11 we can never bring back all those who were lost that day
but we sure can honor there memory
by forging ahead
and raising a new tower
a tower that when built will tell the world
you may take our lives
but you will never take our freedom
god bless America and all who live here
