Empty pockets grace my name,
cupboards almost bare.
I've loved and lost so many times,
in the end there's no one there.
I've dodged greeds' grasp,
shied away from shame,
dwelled not caped in sorrow,
bowed my face from summer's fame,
but I can sleep, a child's sleep
tomorrow.
