Everyone laughed and talked,
Visited and ate a wondrous array
Of food provided by generous, loving hands.
IN OTHER WORDS,
The funeral was a great success.
But inside the head
Of the young girl standing aside
In the shadows, there was a cry.
IN OTHER WORDS,
She didn't understand the laughter.
The marvelous man, her friend,
The one she loved and respected,
Lay dead, victim of a tragedy....
IN OTHER WORDS,
Why did he lie dead amidst the laughter?
She just didn't Understand...that life goes on.
