This may seem like the end
but darling it's not
though I won't be talking to you for a while
that one day will come when I can smile yet again
I must go for now
this is my goodbye
until I can hear that sweet voice speak to me once more
this isn't where the story concludes
because it hasn't ended with
'and they lived happily ever after'
so the book will remain open
until the real ending is written
and it still won't end there
for when the rapture comes
we will be in heaven together for eterninty
basking in the love of the Lord
but just so we have this clear
I want you to know
I'll miss you so
my hearts' deepest woe
