Life is a journey up a mountain
rugged and tall.
I've climbed to the crest, and am
now descending the other side.
Soon I'll stand in a valley deep,
where all men must stand...
I've left no fame or fortune
along the way, only footprints...
Footprints, that I pray will guide
someone else along the way.
When at last I reach the valley,
I'll walk quietly to the end...
There in faith I'll wait
for the Lord to call my name.
