I was in love with the smell of your skin
as I laid next to you at night.
Soft and light brown skinned of man
with a buttocks, so firm and tight!
Your legs stretched on for miles
you eyes like some soap opera king!
But your personality my darling
had some improving it, to bring!
You were mean, with a condescending tone!
I lived with you for nine years trying
to make our house a home!
No matter what I tried to do
you found fault with it all!
But something kept me hanging on
hanging on until my fall!
You made sure you had another
in the wings, waiting to move in!
And I became but a memory
of where our love had been.
I'm sorry I waited and tried so hard
I know now you weren't worth the work!
Because all you gave me was a hellish life
and you acted like, an ass, a jerk!
But sometimes in the dark of night
as I lay next, to the man I love now!
I can still smell the scent of your skin
I seem to still smell you still somehow!
