I count the stars decorating the skies picture frame
Look to the space of written words without a name
With the telescope of nature magnifying their size
Friendly twinkles that wink down with solemn eyes
The heartbeat of the ocean floor drowns out the weary
An act of sheer impulse to discover the fires fiery
Within the sculpture of magnificence lay these white diamonds
All the riches in the world could not begin to hope to buy them
A lush and radiant tear droplet that captures a weakened heart
Such a glorious moment of surrender to the nights brand new start
His smile the twinkle in my solitary moment of despair
The stars shine and illuminate the sheer perfection of his hair
The kiss of the moon touching the green and blue of the earth
The soft touch of his hand holding mine while inside I yearn
Deep seats of treasure bask in the bottom of the sandy beach
I lay my back against its surface and feel his very own kiss to my cheek
A rough and salty fragrance that smells of a remarkable odor
It penetrates the icy coldness and pushes away the heavy boulder
The moment of surrender towards the brand new start on life
And the beautiful end of an old year on a twinkle little star night
